Economic Data Systems is a registered economic and business consulting outfit established in 2008 to provide economic information and analysis for players and stakeholders within the Nigeria economy.
We are a research based company that focus on identifying and analyzing specific historical information to determine the impact of current economic parameters and operating environment on the present and future outlook of business or state. We provide the impetus for informed economic decision, analysis, planning and growth by providing information on parameters and issues that dictate the direction of the economy. We use our analysis to develop a critical well thought-out model that utilizes the benefit and minimized the risk inherent in the existing operating system to chart a sustainable growth path for the business or state. We analyses and keep up to date on all sectors of the economy in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual frequency. These critical economic information are made available to economic players on regular basis.
Lateef Akinwunmi is the Chief Operating Officer of Economic Data Systems. He was a pioneer associates and Head of Operations at Economic Associates until January 2008. At Economic Associates he developed Dutch Auction System (DAS) Forex analysis, a report that shows competitiveness of the players, especially financial institutions in the market. He liaises with Oxford Economics, UK on the collaborative first Nigeria Economic Model built by OE for Nigerian Market to updates and analyses the model data. Lateef, fellow of Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and Global Development Network researcher, graduated in 1991 with B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from University of Ibadan. He also holds M. Sc. degree in Economic with emphasis on Monetary Economics and Masters of Humanitarian and Refugee Studies (MHRS) from University of Lagos in 1993 and 2003 respectively.
Al-Habib Onifade is director and resource person with Economic Data Systems. He is a UK trained financial expert and government consultant on public advocacy. He has worked with financial institutions such as Saudi International Bank (London), HSBC Bank, ABN AMRO and Treasury Services Limited (UK financial and treasury consultancy firm). As a consultant to UK government agency, The Economic Regulation Group, he developed the financial model used for Civil Aviation Authority’s five-yearly price review for UK airports in 2007. He was one time Managing Director of Production Point, a media printing outfit in Lagos. He is the founder and Chief Consultant of INL Consulting Service, a financial services consulting and training outfit in Nigeria. He is the founder of DevTV, UK an online media outfit that discuss issues relating to economic development especially at the grassroots. Al-Habib is a graduate of Economics with Master Degree from University of Durham, UK. He has Certificate in Securities from the UK Securities Institute, a UK FSA Approved Investment Advisor. He has many vocational training in the field of accountancy and corporate finance.
Biodun Adeyanju is the head of training with Economic Data Systems. He joins Economic Data System from one of Nigeria leading banks, United Bank for Africa, where he works as a Regional Profit Center Manager. In his more than 17 years banking experience, he has worked with Wema Bank, Intercontinental Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Diamond Bank, and United Bank for Africa. He graduated with a degree in Sociology from the University of Ibadan in 1991. He also holds Master degree in Public Administration with emphasis on Human Resource Development.
Bayo Oyaleke is a director and resource person with Economic Data Systems. He is Banking and Finance graduate. He is the founder and the Managing Director/CEO of Crystal Food and Drugs, a registered pharmaceutical outfit in Nigeria. He had worked as a banker and tax auditor before starting Crystal Foods
Adelaja Adeleye is a resource person with Economic Data Systems. He graduated with first class degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan in 1991. He also holds MBA degree from University of Lagos. His more than 27 years banking experience is spread across UBA Plc, Zenith Bank, EcoBank and FCMB. He is a Deputy General Manager and head of Construction & Infrastructure Group with First City Monument Bank
Kanmi Ayodeji a resource person with Economic Data Systems is the Assistant Chief Economist with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the Nigerian Oil regulatory agency. He holds M. Sc. degree in Economics from University of Lagos in 1993.
